Artist's Comments

This is possibly one of my submissions for the new terraspace pack 'Ressurection'.

Story: The planet had suffered for the past 5 decades, and in the process had been reduced to a shadow of what it once was. The once proud constructions that danced with the stars had been toppled. No evidence of any life remained. Escape. The fires raged upon the surface, and the few remaining people fled. They raced for the stars, panic having blinded them to logic. Where would they go? They had nowhere. The once magnificent surface they called home lay in ruins, in embers. But still they travelled, an odessy that would take them to places they did not know. They could not return to places whihc they deemed familiar. Exiles are not granted that privelage.

Well this piece has taken me quite a while. this time i wanted to see if I could create more of a story to the terraspace scene. I wanted something dynamic, something that would have some depth. I'm still in two minds as to whether i have succeeded but nonetheless I am rather pleased. I used a number of objects from previous pieces as well, to see if i could stitch something together.

Credit goes to terrastock and alyn twiceover because i used two renders to piece together the landscape.

Enjoy.

this is by far the best Terraspace work i have seen so far. I don't usually get into them, but the story and the colours (so deep and rich) I LOVE IT! would love to have it on my wall :+fav:

I like this one more, maybe because of the inverted positions of the terragen, or maybe i just like the color choice better. Your spacescape is wonderfully done, and i love the texture on the nebulae. Very good piece overall.

The color choice alone is comforting to the eye, and that, I give it a 9.6/10

I dunno why, but planet rings always look rather... surreal to me.

Surreal in a good or bad way?

And a 9.6? thanks;)

somewhat bad, no offense. Cos.. i dunno, i preferred rings with visible asteroids or ice asteroids, because they seemed more real. (i looked at the saturn pictures, and even they looked fake to me)

haha, cheers, anyway.

Again, another wonderful piece from you! :D
I love the colours! There's so much detail and variety in the starfield and planet too.
Also I really like the perspective, it stops the piece from being "just another terraspace artwork".
And I think the typography is good, really compliments the piece :D
Well done, keep up the outstanding work! :D :+fav:
