My entry for

's contest. I wanted to do something a little bit more serene this time, no massive ring worlds or inverse renders

The idea was depict an eclipse originally, but it remains a coming eclipse, moments before, as two bi-planes ascend towards the sky. Or something.

And don't whine too much about the placement of the typography...

Man, your presentation of the picture is perfect! While I was waiting for it to load, I was slowly scrolling down and the still picture played like a movie. LOL I don't know if you intended that(probably not) but that is an extremely sweet effect.
