/Nod, from my experience, alot of 3D planets turn out this way. WHilst some people don't like the effect, i'm rather indifferent and I reckon the effect can be used effectively in the right scneario.

Now just gotta keep practicing till I can make full blown scenes! :)

I like the glassiness. It may not seem entirely realistic, but hey... it's space art... it's surreal! lol

anyways, great job. makes me wanna look into c4d for about the 100th time, lol. 3d modeling's so hard to get into i find

Although it looks glassy like everyone else says, I actually like this planet. It looks clean especially with the background, and I guess, used in the right scenario, this can turn out pretty nice like you said:)
